Smart Views showcase smart filter data in an organised form that is convenient to navigate, interpret and utilised by the user for business purposes. 

Banterone features 4 types of Smart Views Currently

  • Grid View - Arrange data in columns and rows for easy sorting and filtering operation.
  • List View - View data sorted in a list to easily scroll and find events and tasks to manage.
  • Card View - Use a drag and drop interface to assign, track and manage tasks/resources/responsibilities.
  • Calendar View - View data sorted in calendar customised for date wise tracking.

Smart View Creation Process

  • From the Smart View Screen click on the ‘Add Smart View’ button
  • Select the layout of the Smart View to be created. Choose from Grid View, ListView, Card View and Calendar view (Timeline View and Kanban View to be added soon)
  • Select the name and description of Smart View. Use the toggle button to activate
  • Select the data source from the drop-down menu 
  • The system will show the possible choices of the data set based on sources selection. Choose the data set to build the Smart View
  • In List Views, Card View and Calendar View the user can also select templates 
  • Click on the button to update the URL Parameters
  • Update the URL parameters to pass-through
  • Click on the Save button to proceed.

Configure the Grid View 

  • Update the display name for the view(mandatory)
  • Select from the available columns or add new ones based on requirements. 
  • Update Page Properties to enable public access and password
  • Users can Add Expressions - to change the appearance of the View
  • Expressions can be Static or Conditional based on user requirements
  • Click on Add to confirm Expressions settings
  • Select behaviour using toggle buttons for the view 
  • Click on ‘Save’ to confirm the setting for the Grid View
  • After saving the grid view the Events, View Links and Preview buttons will appear on the top right corner. 
  • By Clicking on the Events Button the user can add icons, names and select view options like data view, form view for the event.
  • By Clicking on the View Links button the user can get the URL and Short URL for the Smart view
  • By clicking on the Preview button the user can preview the Smart View in the next tab.

Configure a List View

  • Select the name and description of Smart View. Use the toggle button to activate
  • Select the data source from the drop-down menu 
  • The system will show the possible choices of the data set based on sources selection. Choose the data set to build the Smart View
  • Users can also choose from the list of already created templates with banterone
  • Using the ‘Configure Columns/URL Params’ the number of columns and URL Parameters can be configured
  • Click on ‘Save’ to continue building the List View
  • Update the display name for the view from the General Info tab on the right (mandatory)
  • Use the Mapping button next to each field to assign data source 
  • Click on the Function button to assign specific function to data values. Currently available functions in List view are - badgeFunction, Concat, Badge, Profile
  • From the Page Properties click on ‘URL Params’
  • From the page properties use the URL params to determine the data to be populated.
  • Enable Public Access using Checkbox and Select if the data page needs to be password protected(You can set the password for access)
  • From the Behaviour tab use the toggle button to select the destination to showcase List View. Once the toggle is active use the drop-down menu to select from Data View, Custom Page or Markup page. 
  • Click on the Save button at the bottom of the screen to confirm List View Setting. 
  • Once Confirm the ListView will be active and visible in the Smart View screen to use, edit or delete. 
  • After saving the List view the Events, View Links and Preview buttons will appear on the top right corner.

  • By clicking on the Preview button the user can preview the Smart View in the next tab.

  • Select the name and description of Smart View. Use the toggle button to activate
  • Select the data source from the drop-down menu 
  • Click on the button to update the URL Parameters
  • Update the URL parameters to pass through and Save
  • Click on the Save button to proceed.
  • Update the display name for the view from the General Info tab on the right (mandatory)

Create a Calendar Smart View 

  • Select the name and description of Smart View. Use the toggle button to activate
  • Select the data source from the drop-down menu 
  • The system will show the possible choices of the smart filter based on sources selection. Choose the smart filter to build the Smart View
  • Users can also choose from the list of already created templates with banterone
  • Using the ‘Date Column/URL Params’ the date columns and URL Parameters can be configured
  • Click on ‘Save’ to continue building the Calendar View
